Minmo was born from a simple observation: developers building Bitcoin products were rebuilding the same infrastructure from scratch every time, for every fiat currency conversion. Meanwhile, we watched brilliant local Bitcoin solutions emerge around the world, only to remain vulnerable to fiat regulatory censorship and difficult to scale beyond their original communities.
We started with a clear goal: build infrastructure that helps developers create Bitcoin products faster, without reinventing the wheel, and that works across borders.
As we developed successful payment rails for Bitsacco, we had a crucial realization. For Bitcoin payments to work efficiently around the world, we needed more than just automated systems. We needed trusted individuals (human agents) who could facilitate peer-to-peer exchange in their communities.
But we went further. We realized that for Bitcoin to truly serve communities globally, this capability needed to be everywhere embedded in the apps people already use, accessible through the communities they already trust.
On May 19, 2025, Minmo was officially born with a new mission: to become an embedded exchange that provides tools empowering agents to professionalize their services and better serve end-users in apps and communities.
Minmo is an embedded exchange that enables both human and automated agents to provide on-ramp and off-ramp services to Bitcoin platforms. This is a novel approach to deploying peer-to-peer transactions for seamless fiat-to-Bitcoin exchange experiences.
