Escrow
Protect Bitcoin settlements with controlled funding, release, and dispute workflows —backed by a dedicated Wallet instance.

Escrow Service helps Customers and Agents transact with clearer expectations about funding, release, cancellation, and dispute handling. It gives Partners the operational boundary needed to support protected settlement.
Who it is for
Escrow is for:
- Partners who operate and support the Escrow experience.
- Agents who facilitate swaps and coordinate settlement.
- Customers who want confidence during a transaction.
What Escrow Service provides
- A defined transaction lifecycle from funding through settlement.
- Controlled release of funds when the required conditions are met.
- Clearer state for Agents and Customers during an active transaction.
- Support for cancellation and dispute workflows.
- A dedicated operational boundary for each Escrow Service instance.
Dedicated Wallet requirement
Every Escrow Service instance operated by a Minmo Partner must have a dedicated hosted Wallet instance attached to it.
The dedicated Wallet keeps Escrow funds and operations separate from the Partner’s other hosted Wallet instances.
This relationship is intentional: Escrow is the settlement Product, while the connected Wallet provides its dedicated hosted wallet boundary.
How Escrow fits into Minmo
Escrow is a Minmo product supported by three Tools:
- Agent Mobile App gives Agents the workspace to manage swaps and Escrow activity.
- Swap Links bring Customers into Agent-led transactions.-
- Minmo API lets Partners and Partner Developers integrate Escrow into their own experiences.
Escrow Service is a good fit when a Partner wants to operate an OTC desk on Minmo, or has a custom experience that needs escrow functionalities. It provides a structured way to support transactions where funding, release, cancellation, or dispute handling must be clear to everyone involved.
Next step
Partners should define the Escrow operation and create its dedicated hosted Wallet instance before inviting Agents and Customers into the Minmo experience.
